Author Profile

Motoyuki Ishiguro

Physician, Doctor of Medicine. Director of Ishiguro Clinic.
Born in 1952 in Hashima City, Gifu Prefecture, and graduated from Jichi Medical University.
After completing a multispecialty rotational clinical internship at Gifu Prefectural Hospital, he worked at clinics in Kuse Village and Wara Village, which became doctorless villages due to doctors' illness. After that, he studied at Mount Sinai Hospital, City University of New York. In 1988, he opened Ishiguro Clinic in Gifu City, providing medical care with the theme of happiness for the elderly.
He is the president of Medical Corporation Iigenkai, an associate clinical professor at Gifu University School of Medicine, a part-time lecturer at Gifu Pharmaceutical University, and the director of Gifu Institute of Home Health Care.
He edited and wrote, "28 Words to Make the Elderly Happy" (Kadokawa Gakugei Shuppan) and co-translated "Family Practice for the Practicing Physician" (Hirokawa Shoten).
