Author Profile

Toshiro Iketani is the director of the Iketani Clinic and a Doctor of Medicine. He was born in Tokyo in 1962.
After graduating from Tokyo Medical University School of Medicine, he joined the Second Department of Internal Medicine at Tokyo Medical University Hospital, where he studied blood pressure and arteriosclerosis. His specialty is internal medicine and cardiology.
In 1997, he became the President and Director of Iketani Clinic, a medical corporation.  He is still active in clinical practice.
 As an expert on the cardiovascular system, including blood vessels, blood, and the heart, he has appeared on numerous TV programs, contributed to magazines and newspapers, and given lectures.
 He is also a visiting lecturer at the Department of Cardiology, Tokyo Medical University, a board-certified general internal medicine specialist of the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine, and a cardiologist of the Japanese Circulation Society.
He has appeared on many TV programs, and his easy-to-understand medical explanations have been well received.  He is the author of "Train Your Blood Vessels for Super Health! (Mikasa Shobo), and "Strengthen Blood Vessels, Bones, and Muscles! Zombie Gymnastics" (Ascom), and many other bestsellers.
